At the end of 1993, one of YTV's Grog characters, Warren Chester Grog, decided he was going to take over YTV and call it WTV.

For all you YouTubers obsessed with nostalgia, here are two clips in which Warren talks about his takeover. Unfortunately, they were both cut off with taped-over episodes of "Power Rangers".

    I sold PJ Phil his pictures at Black's Photography in Yorkdale mall in 1997 . . . I was like HOLY CRAP IT'S PJ PHIL!! and he was like "Are you sure these are doubles?" The girls in the store thought he was gay. He's only about 5' 1" tall.

    Me too! - though is was '94.... Unfortunately, there was a real dispute between the station & the puppeteers over merchandizing rights which ended up with them being fired & depriving us of future Groginess - bloody TV execs!!

    holy shit I remember watching The Grogs First Christmas Special on YTV when I was a kid as well and I loved it.

    I was waiting for someone to remember the name of that YTV special.

    I also agree with you 100% that The Grogs First Christmas YTV Special should be put onto DVD.

    Maybe we should start a petition to get YTV to release The Grogs First Christmas YTV Special onto DVD.
