Breath of Fire 2 Retranslation Intro with Alternate Theme - "Through the Fire and Flames" by Dragonforce

That's right. I'm the guy working on the much-anticipated, oft-delayed fan retranslation of Breath of Fire 2. d4s, the mastermind behind the original German version of the retranslation/improvement project, added an intro to the game showcasing the cast and set to "Owaranai Ai", a song which I'm told was only used in the Japanese TV commercial. Pretty weak, actually; I've had a lot of people asking if they could have the original title screen music back. So just for kicks, I tried changing it to something I felt was a bit more suitably...epic.

It will be very, very hard for me not to go ahead and use this for the finished version.

@vgchris1 Go to watercrown.info and get the BoF2 ROM Check application from the Translations page. If you have a headered U.S. ROM, it'll remove the header for you.

@vgchris1 No, I don't. Does the initial checksum upon starting the retrans for the first time work properly? If so, it's probably a problem with your emulator.

dragonforce blows. This intro fucks this badass game up. please keep the OG one. its suits it also.

The patch uses "Owaranai Ai" by default, but it also comes with two bonus patches that you can use to change the intro theme. One is, of course, "Through the Fire and Flames", but the other is - drumroll please - the original intro theme music. That's right, I figured out how to restore it. Fun times, eh?

I like the other alternate theme a lot better. Other than being called "Through the Fire and Flames" and being played by a band called Dragonforce, this song is a poor fit.
