@PetiteOzma I will agree, this is a total transgender story...and from 1903 no less! That doesn't make it any less creepy. To me. And to probably most other people.

the more I think about it, the more I think its a shame MGM didnt make a sequel movie based on this story. They probably would have if the orginal movie was successful from the start. I think MGM would have had fun with the whole Jinjur army concept. Shirly temple could have been Tip. And i would like to see more of Ray bolgers scarecrow, especially as he adjusts to being king.
