A soldier doesn't have any Biotic or Tech abilities, only weapon enchancements.
I'm an Infiltrator -- Soldier/Engineer, I have any Tech abilities as I would.

Ok I have a question, you know the area where there is 2 flying turrets guarding one door(its connect to the main lobby at the beginning)I went there and hacked the door then all the guards started to attack me, of course I killed them all but I forgot to go back to the door to check it out. So if you know what I am talking about answer me this, did I miss any thing important? Thanks for reading.

No, it is just a quicker way to get to Benezia, you get mroe renegade for hacking the door and killing everyone, rather than going the longer and more paragon way.

dude, im tottally going about this differently than this video. my guy has like only 3special abilities, and this person has like 10. i think im doing something wrong. im not auto leveling up.

It could be any number of things, you probably don't have many special abilities because you're a soldier, in this I was an engineer, (all tech powers) that's why I had so many abilities. I didn't auto level up, I manually did it because then I could upgrade what I use the most, like in this I upgraded the shield overload, sabotage, neural shock, and dampening the most. You can do it at any level too, it's just being a higher level makes it easier.
