SMD LED video stairs used as colourful approach to a cinema foyer in China. Although placing moving video on places where people walk is believed to be dangerous and cause unexpected pedestrian dizziness (or UPD), this doesnt seem to worry the architects who have installed this feature. As with many bright and vivid LED installations, subtlety seems to have been missed with this one. It does however serve its main purpose of attracting customers to the cinema entrance.
In America, I'd give it 2 months at most before somebody sued for being mesmerized by the light show and falling down the stairs.....

So familiar! It is an entrance to the cinema which is located in a shopping mall! I lived near this mall in Shenzhen and I went there to watch movies every month. Seems they do not use something transparent to protect the surface of the video screen. If it is playing water running down on the screen, that might be wonderful!
