Generally we have a 15' roller/crimper on the front of the machine, but due to the poor growth of the cover crop we didn't feel it was necessary. Here we planted a little over 9 acres of 92 day Corn into Hairy Vetch. The total bio mass of the cover crop was very low due to a harsh winter. The average moisture dry down was 80%.

  • It has cast iron closing wheels, and the seed was placed right where we wanted it. the field produced a good stand, but it was decimated by deer!
