  • Steve gets best dressed award. Chris best showman (with Alan second place for best showmn). Jon & Bill get best pajamas on-stage award. Great line up, great musicians (all 8). Bring Jon back to Yes. I refuse to pay to see them, and nearly vomit each time I see Yes on youtube with the karoke singer they have. He is awful. Jon is the best and he is sounding great.

  • Rabin is what he is. Not the greatest soloist, in my opinion, even though he's technically proficient because he's not as melodic as Steve Howe, or even Steve Vai, for that matter. But he's an excellent producer and he's had a pretty good career scoring movies too. I thought his work on Talk, Big Generator and 90125 was pretty good, even though it's not a classic Yes sound. For this song, though, nothing will ever be as good as Howe's solo on Yessongs - it is sublime.

  • A priceless concert. Trevor simply took Steves 'solo alone' section and went wild. Steve Howe was on his last legs during this time- and he looks great in this release. Trevor helped YES reach a broader audience, released one more album with YES in 1994- and then "Ascension" was the final masterpiece by the band YES. We are fortunate that the Ascenscion sessions and concerts were readily available- for that was the bands' last hurrah.

  • First of all, this whole UNION thing happened, what?, 20 years ago? The whole concept of the tour is way over the top. You're talking about a concert with TWO drummers, TWO keyboardists and TWO lead guitarists. Any solo would fit that context. Second of all, you can not dis Trevor Rabin. If it weren't for him, 90125 would never have happened, which was the last Yes album that mattered at all. Third of all, if the other guys didn't want TR there, he wouldn't have been there. End of story.

  • T.Rabin is a very talented guitarist. However, "typists" don't belong in Yes. I don't care how fast you can play your scales and runs. Make it interesting and original. That is what Yes is about.

  • I agree with missytootsweet - the guitarist is amazing, but not for YES! Go for it Steve!

  • I love Howe´s Playing

  • yeah, if there's one thing YES definitely isn't about, it's overplaying... ;-p

  • To all you anti-Rabinists, (including you popeye), get a clue!!! When Howe QUIT the band it was all over for YES. TR single handedly pulled them through and gave them a number one hit. They would have been done. For you ignoramus' who think he's a lame musician you better do your homework, because he is one of the most sought after music producers in hollywood. You don't get there by being lame. Howe is great player but he did give up on his mates. Suck it up and support your band, buy the DVD

  • I just bought my copy. I won't have to watch it, since all of the segments are seemingly posted on YouTube! Trevor vs. Howe? Heck, I thought Banks did well enough on the first two LPs, then Howe's live covers came out and made them sound different. I enjoy each musician for his own stylings. The days of solos like this are gone for Yes. I saw Howe and Rabin on stage together a few months ago (2010) and they're both much slower. So am I.
