Thank you for mentioning that Errol Dunkley did this. Believe it or not, his was the version I heard first, from a Trojan LP called "You Left Me Standing" that I got in about 1976. Then, a few years ago I was listening to a Barbara Lynn compilation and heard this version...it took me a minute, and I was shocked! The lyrics are a little different but both versions are classics.
