Pete! I just bought a P229. Awesome!!! You know I'm a fan of Glock, but I gotta say. The Sig is a beast! Recoil is smooth, not one single issue. Put 500 rounds through it, never missed a beat. Guess you know what my new carry weapon is. It's a lil more heavy than the G19 but I can live with that.

I know what you mean about sig grips man the new ones suck balls,
I had to find an old pair to put on my 226, thank god for gun shows $5 and a little cleaning, and bada bing excellent sig grips

I bought my 357 barrel on ebay back in 06 when you could buy them and I payed $100.00 for it

I love mine too. Just got the .357 sig barrel for it and ran about 150 rounds through it. The .40 cal ammo is good too but the ballistics are great on the .357 sig.

Nice review - I have owned this weapon for about a year, came with 4 magazines (no small thing, the Sig mags are very high quality and kind of expensive!), I've put hundreds or thousands of rounds through with zero misfeeds or eject problems. I also switched to Hogue grips early on, and mine has nite sites which are very nice. You got me interested in .357 barrel, I might have to check into that.

@semiautoriflelover i traded it for the SIG P226 STAINLESS ELITE.
to me it was well worth it. pretty much the same gun but with the looks i like.
