I used to want to live in Tokyo but with the earthquakes that seem to hit towards Tokyo more than once like March 11, and I heard there was an earthquake on New years day, and Tokyo is closer to Fukushima Nuclear plant, so I am happy I live in the countryside/a small city area of Japan that is 600 miles away from Tokyo. Its not so bad not living in Tokyo because there is always Koba & Osaka which are not too far from here. I think Tokyo is too overrated by foreigners& young Japanese people.

@UmeMurasaki You're probably right.  I suppose there are advantages and disadvantages to city living VS country living, but if there were a huge quake, the city probably wouldnt be the best place to be. there was a quake on new years. i was outside though so I couldnt tell exactly how bad it was. i knew it was long and sorta big, by the feel of it. it is scary. Tokyo isnt a place i want to be everyday. occasional visits are enough!

That dog is probably a basenji, they don't bark like most dogs. There are many videos of them here.

Tecan has such a gift for storytelling. And when you think about it, he's been through some really tough things. It's amazing how he can joke around about them now and make people smile. Tecan's a cool guy.
