he doesn't lie very well. He's thinking of his next lines. Notice how he stalls, gives him time to think of the next line. Boy, did they ever pull the wool over our eyes. He just can't get it straight.
why did they never go back? Technology has only gotten better since that time. Computers are faster, rockets better.. etc... but no man has never left the planet's gravitational pull again
