  • All the people hating and saying its just acrobatics, don't you understand that all the flipping and throwing is to save the training partner? If the moves were done on an actual attacker, it would break bones, rip limbs from sockets. The only reason it looks like it doesn't work in demonstrations is that the attacker knows what is coming, and throws him/herself to save themselves! Besides, each and every martial art works in their own way, and that is why they are still around. Peace.

  • Excalibur, Aikido is not a derivative, it is just.....Aikido. O-sensei says he had a "Moment of divine truth", where he could hear the bird's language, and became one with the universe. Also, most Jujitsu teaches atemi, mostly Shotokan Karate atemi.

  • I'm seeing more aggression here than I believe should be present. Should be more like dancing... one with each other...

  • this sucks..not worthy to call it on the name of aikido!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ToniMattTony

Admittedly with three people it is showing off quite abit, but hypothetically it can work! If you check the link below for the basic Morotedori Kokyunage, then really you can see that it does work... Only a few weeks back now i did a similar technique with two uke's, when you get one off balance then it is their own weight that attributes to helping the other off balance, basically it does work :)... try it!!

  • cool demo, i didthis for 3 years, enjoyed every moment of it.

  • this martial art is most amazing
