here is the cfl running on 1.5 AA battery.

with cfl it can run about 3 hours on a full charged battery
here im using the origenal batery from the camera

i have tried to place a switch to easier switch it on or off
but sofare i can only light it up by touching the black wire with hand (and connecting the black wire also boosts the voltage)

so i still need ground in a way and in a switch

if you got an idea on how i could connect it so i can use a normal on and of switch, let m e know

  • i make alot experiences with this CFL 110v from 9w , 13w , 24w , i make a new system for ultra fast changing the bulb with another one , this work very good 4h with one battery (sony nimh 2200mah ) i tested with a battery from ebay marked 3000mah but it a fake one because only 2 hours work on CFL , so it 1000mah in reality fuck'in chinese battery clone ! lol

  • Cont. I am not able to light up my CFL in anyway. I am using a 13 watt, 120 volt CFL that I have gutted to get to the four wires. In my setup that little light bulb is staying on and the CFL is not turning on or even flickering. I don't know what I am doing wrong or what else needs to be done with the circuit. I would really like some help on this ASAP if you are willing to help me. I would appreciate it very much. Have a great NEW YEAR. Thanks.

  • Hi JohnnBlade, I am in need of some help. I have what seems to be the same disposable camera circuit that is in your video "Lighting up CFL fluorescent light with disposeable camera with1 5v AA battery part 1 JB and part 2 JB. I have followed everything that you have do by taking out the capacitor and adding wires also took out the little light bulb and added wires. I set up and followed everything that is in your video.

  • warm white make higher lumens output than cool white bulb.

  • Just make a case for it. Separate the battery case and add a switch to the battery terminal.

  • Good job dude, Your music makes me want to mellow out.

  • all of those disposable cams lying around to be harnessed
