  • as i said before excellent technique but your forgetting the basics first the technique is a response to the attack,which you do not show! And secondly you have to much build up to the technique. I assume if you practice sabaki gata you do this technique daily! So build up leg muscles!

  • @ceekay96 Its my student. It is only jump kick practice, not application. He is squatting low and jumping high as exercise. And he does happen to have very strong legs, he can pistol squat 15 times with a 72 lb kettlebell in his hands, that's above average.. ;) Thanks for the comment.

  • First, that is a huge jump!! I wonder how high you could ollie as a skater.

    second, not tryin to bash but legitimate question: is this plausible for real-life defense? It seems like such a high risk move for the possibility of missing and ending up on the ground...

  • @braintrama No risk as any genbukan member knows how to land without hurt... but I wonder why he is not wearing his genbukan signs...

  • @braintrama Hi it's my student. We do it because it is a traditional technique in our art and great exercise. As for reality, personally I'd rather kick the guy in the groin.. ;) Thanks for the comment!
