The Slovaks were supposed to win the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship one year ago when they hosted the tournament. Things didn't work out last year and, this year, not many people gave them much of a chance. However they will take to the ice in the championship game against the Russians as a team that has been on a mission and feels they have what it takes to pull off the upset.
