Hey na5m- thanks for your comment. As per your question, I loved this track when it came out all those years ago in the 80s and still do. The words simply describe the character of Tehran especially the food which is unique- and is meant for those Iranians who long to return to Iran but can't for one reason or another.

Hey iroscoman - Thanks for your comment- Hamkhooneh is one of my all time favourites too- it is interesting that no Iranian artists has ever tried to do a rendition of it- I suppose you can't better something that is already perfect :)
