Sylosis - Conclusion Of An Age guitar lesson

This is mainly just the riffing from the song but also includes the triplet lick just before the solo.

It's tuned to E standard. I use 10 - 52 gage strings. The song is in E Phrygian Dominant. Any parts I've left out you can hopefully figure out if you get to know the scale!

I wouldn't define the music by the vocals. To me, the style of playing determines whether it's thrash or not.

If you look at some of the older thrash bands, Testament, Anthrax, Metallica etc, the vocals are more melodic than the new style of literally just screaming over the track.

It's just my take on it.

@Iamthegherkin Sir, it annoys me when people call vocal distortion "just screaming". It`s a pretty difficult vocal technique, which takes couple of years of practise to master. Anyway you made your point, and opinions are opinions.
