Jann was signed to BMG Records for his classical projects but persuaded to do the rock album first, since BMG discovered he is a singer and a pop writer as well. Before he moved from his native country (Poland) Jann was the original Founder of Polish Band Republika. ( Oryginalny zalozyciel polskiej grupy Republika. )

Jann Castor, apart from scoring movies, with a short history of "rock stardom" in Poland and Australia, he has become intimately involved with new music technologies and multimedia tools. He has been recognized for his outstanding interactive soundtracks, and scored one of the biggest multimedia projects ever for Walt Disney Productions, depicting the history of Walt Disney Studios in 300 interactive movies.
