It sounds like he totally rewrote this in a different key (E). I wonder if he was trying to eliminate what I'm finding to be rather difficult fingering in the original arrangement. But I miss the low "D".

It is nice to see Serenade played by the original source. Although I believe this version is different than the "original" original.

Actually, the original version by Philip is in D and fairly simple. The version in E is more like the original in that there are no inside voices, but the harmony used in the E version is a little different than the original in D.
