i would disagree with the desertation above.johnny cash,conway tweety and elvis started with rock and wound up in country.circa 53-58.roy orbison was borderline country on his early recordings.most of these songs were refered to as "cross over"hits.the mix continued into the 60's and really hit full stride in the early 70's.the "new" country really began in 1970.it is hard to define todays rock from country.kenny rogers came to the scene in 67 as a rocker and went to country.hard to distinguish.

Now this is the country music I remember not some of the stuff they have now, The stuff they have now, most of it dont have the same feeling as this type of country music. I grew up on Hank Williams, Pasty Cline, George Jones & Tammy Wynett, good ole Conway Twitty,now that was country,

They definetly don't make country music like this anymore. Today's country music is NOT country music. Its rock and pop with a tiny bit of twang, that's all. THIS is real country music. Excellent song!

i just read what was written on show more......and i couldnt agree more...thats why i am on you tube and not the radio nor do i support todays country singer...heck, i dont know their names.well there is geo strait,miss reba,brad paisley,and a few more that are really good but i miss eddie arnold,porter waggner,donna fargo,david allen coe,carl smith,faron young,johnny bush,and etc.so thanks you tube very much.....
