I liked the movie. True, it didn't stay entirely true to the book but it was not altogether disappointing. I especially liked the way they portrayed Alan Blunt and Mrs. Jones. They became real and believable.

Dear God. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE?! I started reading this series I think in 2007. I never saw the trailer for the movie and just now figured out that they made it! I was waiting and waiting and waiting for the longest time, and now that I know they made it, I couldn't be MORE disappointed in it! Really? What is this sh*t? Sabina didn't come until Skeleton Key! I imagined Alex as a brunette (didn't he have brown hair in the books)? Smithers was fatter and jollier! Come on... Just.. :(

@sofkitkat16 the climax of the film was too big, esp with Sabina there. if they ever do an Eagle Strike Movie, they would just be repeating themselves with Sabina being in danger.

this film was too poor for words. I mean, i know ppl often say it shudda been closer to the book and i get u need to make allowences but nevertheless the plot of the book was poorly represented here. there was crap added without point, needless subtractions and really...wasn't the book already an action movie. seriously when reading it didn't it come off as basically a james bond movie (minus the bond girls)

@magicmarsbars i meant sabina :) sabina was in the movie but didnt show up in the books until the third book.... i just thought that by bringing her in on the first book would mess things up... but it seems they're not gonna make a second movie :( so it doesnt really matter...
