am I mistaken or did you get your rear spring shackles mounted. in the picture it looks like they are connected? I'd like to see that banjer you described! sounds like a rat rod banjer!

Question if you don't mind answering...Im new to car repair and i've bought a 76 Dodge Aspen R/T that's in need of some frame work...It has a chunk gone..rusted away..it's about the size of a baseball..what should I do to repair it? Should I like brace it somehow or cut the frame off were the hole is and make an intirely new piece or weld a new piece in off another aspen frame? Another frame would be hard to find most probably. lol Any suggestions would be appreciated. Needs body work tonotsobad

@ahhGroovymangroovy I'm not sure how thick the frame is on one of those. I'm thinking it's a uni-body, with a pretty thin frame. Still it can be fixed. Cut out the rust, find some metal and cut it to the same shape, replace the missing part. If the welding is good and the metal is as strong as the metal that was originally there, you should be just fine. That's my thinking..

No, I didn't get them mounted, just stuck a wrench through each spring eye to prop them up while I was workin' on it.
