Canadians continue to enjoy spoofs and controversies on Youtube during the election campaign. The top video for the past seven days focuses on Elizabeth May's contested use of the terms "stupid and "Canadian" in the same sentence.

Overall the top five videos offer a broad overview of the campaign so far, with videos focusing on all the party leaders except the Bloc's Gilles Ducceppe.

After a slow first week the Liberal party's recently released video, number five in the ranking today, has garnered considerable attention, not only for what it includes but also what it excludes - an image of Dion. 20 per cent of those viewers watched the Liberal video on former Chretien Liberal insider Warren Kinsella's popular blog.

The fourth most watched video for the past seven days sees the PM asking Geri Hall from CBC's This Hour has 22 minutes "Do you like handcuffs?". The video has been a hit in Atlantic Canada, with 20 per cent of the total views coming from the Chronicle Herald website, Halifax's daily newspaper.

  • @jmacblog she didn't mean citizens she meant the government so what. people need to grow up shes got great politics and was obviously not in a great mood during that interview she obviously didn't mean that every Canadian citizen is stupid if she has lived here her whole life but she obviously disagrees with others politics that's why she said that and is the leader of a different party

  • She clearly meant to say disagree, she was just talking too fast. Seriously people...

  • @tdejong85 you dont need to hope, theres simply no chance

  • May has a tough job but has talent....the Greens are a fiscally conservative party (have to be to pay for all the initiatives) . So they are fiscally to the right of the Liberals and to the left of the CPC. Thats why the two parties are scared of her...

  • may is a Moron. i hope shes loses every election she ever enters.

  • LOL May is an ass, Im happy she lost.

  • Interesting that May has such a low view of voters- and they feel the same way about her! She calls us stupid. We vote for other parties.

  • maybe jack layton can be finance minister when dion takes power in our "democracy".

  • I love this!!

I live in Vancouver Island North.

I am in court this week, as the Rights and Freedoms are not present, as the Defendant has been locked up and force fed MIND ALTERING Drugs with the Consent of the BC Supreme Court! This little part of the TRIAL is to determine if the Defendant who was released from a mental facility is competent enough to stand TRIAL or to be LOCKED UP again to be FORCED to take or be injected MIND ALTERING DRUGS!

But the MEDIA, DON"T CARE that the SCC said NO!
