*copy or transfer files from one directory to another using cmd

example: I will transfer the test files in drive C:\"test folder" to my usb which is in drive E:\"test folder"

xcopy c:\test e:\test1 /s

-for more advance commands just type help xcopy

  • I cant copy for some reason, i guess because im not the administrator. here is the command im trying to use:

    xcopy C:\Users\(myusername)\Appdata\­Roaming\.minecraft\saves D:\desktop

    when i enter it, it sas 0 File(s) copied. i know that there are thing in the folder though.
