76.2 percent of abducted children who are murdered are dead within three hours of the abduction. We need a grassroots system to get their faces out there during the critical hours.
THE PROBLEM
There are currently no system in place which enables quick and informative actions within three hours of the abduction. A personal media system needs to be in place, one which can generate broad and random distribution of detail information. As to get the missing children's faces in front of the public. Think of this as grassroots citizen based Amber Alert that is sustainable over long durations.
THE SOLUTION
1. Sign up to join the Street Team to receive emails or SMS notifications when a kid is missing in your area.
2. A free Street Team Kit, including the Take It Pocket™ (TIP) car window flier dispenser will be send to you. If you prefer not revealing your physical address, you can pick it up at the local library or police station.
3. When you receive a notification in your email box or cellphone, take action and print out fliers for use with your TIP.
4. Go on with your life as usual, but be sure to place your TIP fliers on your car window anytime you park your car in public places.
THE COMPONENTS
The Missing Kids Street Team will maintain a website which will allow individuals and law enforcement to post information of missing kids. The information will be stored and used to generate online printable fliers. The site will also contain many community features so missing kids information can be properly aggregated as needed.
The Missing Kids Street Team will also conduct awareness events, maintain a list of the Street Team Membership, sourcing/acquiring components of the Street Team Kit, and the distribution of the Street Team Kits to its members and distributors.
THE INVENTION
As the inventor of TIP, I will donate 4,000 units of TIP and grant the use of my design to the Street Team as donation for this specific use, so it can be manufactured free of licensing fees. I will NOT make any direct profit from this project.

THE VALIDATION
The Missing Kids Street Team has enrolled in the Google 10 to 100 Project. The response has been tremendously supportive, which suggests that the basis of the Missing Kids Street Team is conceptually sound.

Join by subscribing to get updates, and help recruit new street team members by having them visit this page. See "more info" next to the clip for details.
We are in talks with the local Missing Kids agency and State Patrol here in Washington State, so the Street Team is currently at a much smaller local scale, since the sole funding is my limited personal money.
Our participation in the Google 10 to 100 project is with hopes of getting funded by Google, so we can build a global street team.

We've entered the Google Project 10 to 100 for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Using the Internet and cars as grass roots community tools, we can get their faces out there quickly and globally, because you never know where the missing children is going to show up. With adequate funding, we can mail the Street Team Kit to every member around the world.
