@IanzGurrl I read every comment, but, as you must realize, with the number of comments I get every day, it is impossible to answer everyone. I try to answer anyone who is making a recipe of mine and does not understand the instructions. You'll notice that I've only addressed one comment on this recipe, because it was a "need-to-know" question. Complicating matters, our 22-year-old nephew died a week ago, and I have been just uploading every other day and letting comments slide. I'm sorry.--Betty

I am gonna try and make this for the first time today.
Thanks Betty! I was wondering how the alcohol was supposed to ignite.

@TreeDwellnGnome The best way to ignite the alcohol is to heat it over low heat in a separate small pan. When it gets hot enough, it will flame on its own. Then you can combine the flaming liquor with the hot fruit mixture.

Hi Betty, found this recipe a couple weeks ago and finally made. Is there such a thing as something so delicious your eyeballs roll back in your head! LOL Chocolate ice cream has been my favorite for 50 yrs with Ben & Jerry's Chunky Monkey being a close second. Now I buy vanilla and add this over top, so amazingly good. I also experimented with making a homemade strawberry syrup until it was just right and use that as well. But your Banana Foster is super good. Thanks for sharing.

@KissHope Thanks for your great feedback on the Banas Foster. I like your idea about using strawberry syrup--what a good combination with vanilla ice cream!
