This is significantly different from google who essentially sells adds on traffic.
It looks like youtube want a sterile environment that is more productive for selling adds on youtube.

Not entirely accurate. The algorithms used are like those of Google, designed to try to guess what's relevant to what you want to view. They even added filters to help you narrow your searched. However this was made in 2008. From a developer's perspective, it's a zero effect trade off. There are those who will love the feature, and those who hate it. But they do need revenue ... or they will have to eventually charge people to use this site, and that would suck.

Is there a way that those of US that enjoy OUR privacy can create a site like Youtube but ran by the USERS of that new site that will actually give a fuck about OUR privacy that will allow US to do what the vast majorty of us miss about the old Youtube? Or does a site like that already exists,if so, please let me & everyone here know so we can join what i'm calling OPERATION EXODUS. This includes any website that would sell OUR private info. Just a thought. Please pass this ideal on.
