Genesis: The True Story.
God created man, then before too long realised that we was a reet coont, so his next gig was creating organised religion to slap his ass down.
The next few thousand years the religion kept man out of trouble by fuelling constant war, torture, enslavement of the masses and generalfun & hi-jinks of the sort.
Realising a slight flaw in the religion being managed by Man himself, he acted swiftly & smote some YouTube & iPad upon the world & loads of porn, & there was peace

the bible contradicts itself many times over. Aside from that, It has been edited and reworked many times over with the specific intentions of controlling society so that then monarchs could acomplish what they wanted, wich they did and I'm not entirly favorable towards it.

Think of the story of Solomon, where God is so pleased he's asked for wisdom.
Btw, labor = pain is a mistranslation. The word they translate pain in Genesis is used elsewhere in the Bible where its translated "work". Fear of childbirth has caused no end of grief to the human race. Grantly Dick-Read for more info.
