Very nice...although Mr. Edwards used a very interesting combination of "syncopation-percussion" approach, where the notes are not sustained that long, as you do on certain parts. May I suggest Marlowe DK channel, he plays the most perfect "Le Freak " bassline apart from Mr. Edwards. I haven´t seen the video for that particular bassline, but look for him and send him a message, so yu can see exactly what has to be done for this awesome bassline. Cheers!
