Xenoblade Is the breath of fresh air the JRPG genre needed.

If Square wants money and fanbase...
They need to make the third installment of Chrono Trigger (AKA: Chrono Break)

Can't really blame Square. Square has been ruined after Enix bought them out. The only series that are surviving in my opinion Suikoden (if they release another game) and the Tales of Namco series. I have lost faith in Final Fantasy (Considering I think it has declined since FFX [Only considering platform RPG, not MMO]). However, Valkyria Chronicles gives me hope that the JRPG genre can still be saved.

Final fantasy versus xiii looks sick as hell cuz its basically kingdom hearts wit FF elements but its been in development for 6 yrs and only recently started goin into 100% production i mean goddamn

@furydoughboy are you gonna get dungeon siege on tuesday? Its button masher but demo was ok but like fable 2 you can't bring your guy u level to others game
-
@furydoughboy JRPG died the day toke out the turn base mechanic. In doing that instead of being thinking game it became a mindless button masher. Last good RPG was lost Odyssey

Everything you said in this vid is 100% TRUE. I LOVE jrps and they have to make a change. It seems like this generation is all about First Person Shooters and thats BULLSHIT!

Dying? You mean DEAD

LOL 1st time i agreed with ya for a VERY long time ^_^
either way, its a FACT, JRPGs r just not as great or as plentiful as they were before..btw its not JUST square lol. its just about ANY freakin japanese company!
1 thing that HAS been hapenin recently tho is that there's actually a small batch of great looking JRPGs comin out for the WII this year/next year. Pandora's Tower, Xenoblade (makers of xenogears/xenosaga), and The Last Story. and theyre ACTION RPGs, not that turn based shit

Meh, JRPG's have been dead to me damn near my whole life... The stories are always lame, and the gameplay always lamer. Just my opinion. I know they aren't for everybody, but they always just seem like the same games. A ancient futuristic past with some tweens or homosexual looking main character.
Legend of Dragoon is actually a Sony IP, just a correction.
