I made this song a while ago... and then after messing around for 6 hours playing with different sounds and songs, finally coming something similar to this... FL Studio crashed and I never saved. I said to hell with it and left it alone for a while. I finally got in the mood to go at it again though, and here is a better version of what I lost.

This is made entirely using Toxic Biohazard, which can produce -too- many different textures. With this song I went for a softer and deeper feel, even though I did play around with harder and zanier sounds. The great thing about TB is that it can take a single line and make it multiple channels, each with their own volume/lfo/chorus/other. And it does more... which I can't describe because I don't have the terminology, but I can definitely use the functions.

I -really- enjoyed using TB. I've played around with a ton of different VST plugins I could get my hands on, free and pay, and TB is by far the most intimidating... but easily the best I've used.

As a side note, I did learn to control panning/volume for an individual channel throughout the song's duration(Ex: one channel shifting left to right and then back) something that I was worried would take me ages to figure out. One thing I meant to do with this song that I completely forgot about was to put that knowledge to use and fade this song out lmao...

The song is On the Beach of Dreams ~Another World~, from Chrono Cross. It's a song that plays when you travel to the alternate dimension of the world Serge is living in, Another World. It's an ethereal theme that really captures the idea of an alternate reality where people are vastly different from who they've come to be elsewhere.
