Left 4 Dead 2 - Walking Witch / Bile Bomb.

Here you can see the Walking Witch and me using the Bile Bomb on her.
Now it really doesn't do much to the Witch because she still knocked your ass down quick, but you can see how the bile bomb works, whatever or whoever you throw it on, the horde will attack it.
Could be useful against a Tank.

I used a bile bomb on a Tank, and the horde RAPED the Tank, The tank didnt even get to do any damage to us, the horde destroyed him.

If you hit her directly with it and run around a corner from quite a distance away, she sometimes loses sight of you an panics, I assume she is also blinded by the bile because she runs with her arms straight out as if she is feeling where she is going.
