The First Amendment is there to allow for people of ALL religions to practice freely...as long as it isn't against the US Constitution.

It is also there to keep religion from interfering in government/political affairs, which is something that one particular party can't seem to understand. Yes, I'm referring to the Republican party.

Gay marriage is completely legitimate under the Constitution which is the ONLY law of the land, period.
