Reverend Leland Stewart, with the support of the United Nations, founded the Unity-and-Diversity World Council in 1965—the UN International Year of Cooperation. Stewart is author of the book World Scriptures, a text that incorporates scriptures from a broad range of the world's religions and traditions of spirituality and faith including "new religions" like the Brahma Kumaris. Listen to Stewart share about the history and mission of the UDC World organization, and also about the influence of Philosopher, Physician, and Humanitarian Albert Schweitzer—who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1952.
