MDA Precision is proud to introduce the ELS 6000 Electronic Lead Screw retrofit kit for the WABECO D6000E manual lathe using AutoTurn Control Technology. The ELS 6000 allows any D6000E manual lathe to perform CNC like operations. With Z and X-axis automation the ELS 6000 can perform a multitude of turning operations including Threading, Radius, Taper, and Turning. The ELS 6000 does not require a computer, but comes with an easy to use hand held controller. It also can be operated in full CNC mode using MACH3.

  • With this "Digital Lathe" set up you can cut any mertic or inch threading (right or left)!

Simply enter the values, turn the lathe and start the program.

We and a good number of customers have been using that retrofit constantly. Some use that lathe for production! We had not one single failure yet. That's why we offer a 30 month limited warranty on our machines.

All is of superb quality made in the USA and Germany.

The factory in Germany will also start to offer our kit together with our 5-axis mill.

  • Great solution, i ask me if they also work in metric ??

I have this machine here in germany in use and this where a great solution to use.

  • Some amazing capabilities for a non-CNC lathe, but as with everything mechanical there is, I suspect a rub- the user is going to be taking that machine apart every so often to replace half-nuts or the full-nut if it has no half-nut to drive the carriage since the machine is dependant now on the leadscrew to do all turning, rather than using the rack. Also, with increased use of the compound feedscrew (as in the generation of the 1" sphere), that nut will need replacing soon too.

  • @SryImMinimal0815 BTW very nice machine!

  • i love the music? whats the name of the song?
