I think Bernie falls short of being a HOFer, but he was a very good player. Can't believe he's received only 2.6% of the HOF votes so far. Meanwhile, Jack Morris (one of the most overrated players of all-time) has received over 60% of the votes.

Bernie Rocks. His music is as sweet as his performance on the ball field.
Easily one of my favorite Yankees during their championship years. I loved how he received one of the longest and loudest ovations when past Yankees were introduced during the ceremonies. You could see just how touched he was when the fans chanted his name as if was still on the team.
But the moment I enjoyed the most was when he took off his cap and used his hands to defer to the fans at 2:34, as if to say they made his success and the player he became possible. What a great, noble gesture.

i get goosebumps til this day watching this. he was my absolute favorite yankee and favorite player ever. bernie was a tru professional n about as clutch a player as u would ever find. who will ever forget his big hits n homers in the playoffs. God bless u Bernie.its a shame the yanks did u n torre dirty but u both went out on top. im proud 2 say ur easily one of the top 5 Boricua players ever
