  • People involved in this picture , may be Buddhists. But the things here have nothing to do with Buddhism. DONT GET MISLED.If u want to see buddhists marry go to sri lanka, Myanmar , Thailand, Cambodia or any other country .You will see entire different rituals pertaining to their own cultures. Marriage is not a religious thing among Buddhists. Whereas it is a religious among Christians, Muslims, Hindusand any other. MARRIAGE IS A WORLDLY THING NOT SPIRITUAL

  • @mssca this is not a BUDDHIST wedding!

  • what is the Buddhist part of this wedding. Its simply a Sinhala wedding Buddhism is a religion more philosophy than a religion. Our weddings have clear separation from religion. What we do such as auspicios time are related to sinhala culture. Is there are other Sinhala wedding by Sri Lankan catholics or muslims or hindus where those wedding are more involved with religion. I think many make this mistake saying Sinhala buddhist weddings. it should be Sinhala Kandian or Sinhala Southern Wedding.

  • What the hell I don't understand.. it puts a Hindi song and the title read Buddhist wedding?? Very misleading.

  • for people who want to see a real buddhist wedding, then go see a Kandiyan style wedding IN sri lanka

  • the song is indian, wedding style is christian...

  • Congratulations Dimithri....Very nice wedding !! Pushpa/Anoma & Uditha de Silva - OZ

  • Is it Buddhist wedding?. ...everything western....... why this hypocrisy?.

Either remain eastern and practise tradition or stop claiming Budhist.

  • This looks like a Sri Lankan Buddhist wedding. So it is a big question why use an Indian song?

  • beautiful wedding nice work. Finally photojournalism
