Car Drives Into A Pond, Hobart Indiana

HFD was dispatched to a car into a pond that was sinking fast, crews were on scene within minutes of dispatch. All occupants were self extricated and on their way out of the water. Divers secured tow chains to the car, the first attempt was unsuccessful tearing the trunk from the car. The second try was successful and the car was removed from the pond. No serious injuries were reported.

I hate when that happens. We had one a few weeks ago, drunk kid, imagine that?!?!....barrell rolled his car 300 feet alond the highway in a ditch. Then we get there, the dipshit is yelling."my buddy is in the car!".....so we go tromping thru the mud for half an hour looking for someone that wasn`t there....grrrr.....to top it off, my partner and I got stung by wasps during our "mud walk".......sigh....the drunk walks away again....

Don't ya just love idiots. They should get the bill for all the wasted time and a medical bill for the bee stings. Thats all after he spends the night in jail getting molested by buba. GOD I HATE DRUNKS!

Not to mention the time wasted looking for his buddies that were NOT in the car with him. They had FD out there for over 5 hours looking. Till well after sunrise, just to make sure they didn`t get missed. The debri field was about 300 ft long, in the swampy ditch.....with trees and BEES...lol
