Allow me to retort a bit... Passwords to the OS mean nothing, physical access to the laptop or pc results in instant access to all non-encrypted data, no questions asked.. example: ultimate boot disk password tool, or a live linux disk/usb, each one respectively will either overwrite all passwords or ignore the "windows" restrictions all together. I think you are certainly right about encryption on internal and external drives.. and having a security policy that is backed up and enforced
