he couldnt swallow that someone was better than him that day? look at 0:44, he says "he played better than me." All he was trying to say was that tsonga had a really good day but probably wasnt playing consistently like that otherwise his rank would have been higher.

yeah right..." he was better than me , but it 's not his real level, he cant play that level everyday what's his rank -38 what do you think?" i think this remark is extremly vain, and superior. he is a great player i repeat , but i dont like is comments ,even less his uncle's sometimes who should sweep before his door , before making silly statements about other's.

Nadal has no problem acknowledging somebody´s superiority. I think it did not come out politically correct but he was just as honest as he could be. He spoke his mind. If anytihng he was praising the level of Tsonga's tennis that night. I understand he meant that if Tsonga had that level of tennis all the time (as Federer managed to have over extended periods of time) he would rank much higher than he 38th in the world and it is probably true, don't you think?

i think you transformed what he said which was far more condescending. " what 's his rank right now?" the journalist answered and he added a taunting " what do you think?" ...Now Tsonga is number 6 , i hope he'll keep progressing in the chart...

Yeah, you could be right. It is just so strange and uncommon for Nadal to talk that way. Maybe he could not snap out of the amazement his rival had beaten him... I actually have never seen Tsonga on a match. Number 6 is a big deal. I am looking forward to watching a match of him.

i just want to add that tsonga has always been injured. When he started to play at a good level he had a back pain or something else.
But that night he played an incredebly good tennis and i hope we will be able to see that level more often against someone who is at 100% to see an amazing tennis match :)
