Virtuality is a line of virtual reality gaming machines that could be found in arcades and 'Virtuality Centres' in the 1990s and are still for sale and private hire.
The player wears a head-mounted display (the 'Visette') whilst standing within a circle of waist-height sensors and holding a free-moving joystick (the 'Space Joystick'). The alternative 'pod' design has the player sitting down with a joystick, steering wheel, or yoke for control.
The stereoscopic display reacts to head movements, the position of the joystick controls movement of the player's virtual hand, and a direction-control on the joystick moves the player around the game arena.

I remember going to a virtuality centre in London (Trocodero centre?) when I was a kid, just to have a go on one.
I then had some Elsa Revelators in the mid 90's which gave us stereoscopic PC gaming, but this all fell by the wayside as LCD's replaced CRT's with poor refresh rates.
My last hope for this at home was the Vuzix VR1440, but I've heard nothing on these for 2 years. I guess we will just have to wait for Nintendo to do it!

No, it's J.D. Roth. He used to also be the host of a game show called Funhouse that had kids running through obstacle courses and whatnot. =)

@babato12365 Make your own choice. I'm sticking to "Astley Poof" for the win.

@DrCruel It's not Seth Green or Rick Astley. Rick Astley has a british accent. I was just sayin they look similar

EXACTLY! I remember playing one of these as a kid as well... and there was *no* doubt in my mind we'd all have something like it in our homes by now.
Guess not. :(
