Seven Caged Tigers Lyrics

On the 8th of July, I went to a Stone Temple Pilots concert in Cincinatti. It was freaking awesome! Where I'm gettin at though is I realized I really only know their songs from Thank You plus Dead and Bloated, so I looked up the iTunes essentials and this was one of the songs they played at the concert. It's really catchy so I thought I might put the lyrics up.

Always one of my favorites from this band, but you left out one of the coolest parts of the song. The end where the guitar quietly resonates. It's such a sweet sound. I love the DeLeo's for stuff like this.

the song is about drug use. 7 caged tigers refers to the 7 days in a week. caged tigers is a metaphore, the 7 days u could have made somthing happen, instead u sat around getting mashed. 7 caged tigers. and when ur high time just flys by!! and as this continues the answer does get harder and harder, as with the truth getting farther. i used to snort oxys to this song, but now i found life. surprisingly i found it while tripping in the woods,,. go figure.

seven caged tigers refer to the seven deadly sins, how they control you. Reference to caged tigers is the refernce to the rage and pent up frustration as you battle to control yourself

With all these comments on the outro (while admitting I'm too lazy to go back and read everything) I feel compelled to share, Dean is blowing across the strings directly over a pickup. Cool technique. Coupled with the right effects... magic.

This song tells me to find myself. Whatever you may perceive this song's meaning to be you're right. I think he wants everyone to find a meaning for ourselves before time runs out. The caged tigers, are you, me, and anyone else who finds a meaning to this song. don't let yourself fly by folks. Never another today, just another tomorrow.
