While My Guitar (Ukulele version)

This is a cover of Jake Shimabukuro's arrangement of While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Not perfect, certainly not as good as Jake's, but I hope you like it. I really wanted to learn this because a) it's a great piece and b) to improve my strumming and technique.

I would like to emphasize that despite having some improv at the beginning and end and w/ the strumming, this is NOT my arrangement (just giving credit where its due).

i think your strumming and improvising skills are top notch and wayyy better than i could ever be

but at the end, you could use vibrato

use two fingers to pick a single string and thumb down the other three strings to create a really cool effect

can you tell me how much your uke cost? Is it a tenor uke?

350 @ musicians friend. i have it tuned to 1/2 step below soprano tuning. it is an "Applause" brand uke. the scale is slightly larger than a soprano, but i don't think it is quite tenor scale. thanks!

uh, ill post a video soon with some techniques if you'd like. though, i'm sure my technique isn't optimal, a lot of it is translated from how i play the guitar. but yeah ill give you a shout on your page when its up
