Shannon Noll is better than Guy Sebastian and i'll tell you why, when Guy sings, he uses a voice synthesiser, when Shannon sings, its just him singing. You be the judge.

I have to be honest. I like both Shannon Noll and Guy Sebastian. Both of them do this song well. But with Shannon singing this song, I can actually connect with him. He sings with emotion. You can also hear that when he does What About Me. I like both versions of the song. Don't get me wrong. But I can connect with Shannon's version more than I can with Guy's.

Shannon Noll I think did this way better than Guy. Bust more emotion in the vocals. In saying that though What About Me was a 10x better first single for him.

first season of idol was so good, a lot of people made good careers out of it, no less the top 2 who are massive stars in aussie music industry

i think the song itself didnt favour shannon as much as it did for guy. having said that, shannon did an awesome job to make it work for him. so unlucky he didnt win the contest that year. nevermind though, he's still churning it out after all this time - definitely a great aussie talent!

I was voting for Shannon that year....but I must admit that Guy Sebastian sings this better!! Not really suited for Shannon! But his songs afterwards on the charts were awesome!! Shannon rocks!!
