I worked a music festival where she was one of the performers. I had the privilege of getting to spend some one on one time just hanging out with her. She is just a very nice person, down to earth, and laid back. It was great just sitting on the tailgate of my pickup with her, and her Golden Retriever. I used to live near where she is from, and had a room mate who had done some studio work with her, so we had quite a lot we could chat about, non-music related. It was great!

@SH000FLY Yes she is awesome, but know, i looked and found out her middle name is Chapin, she isnt realated to us. BUT THE CRAZY THING IS CHAPINS ARE RELATED TO 2 PRESIDENTS!!!! I was shocked!!!!

This interview is worthy of a Peabody Award compared to one I just saw by a woman named Shira Lazar. Painful to watch and Mary Chapin Carpenter looked justifiably annoyed the whole time. It was as if this woman knew nothing about MCC and had never conducted an interview before.
