  • Hi. Thank you for sharing. Out of curiosity, why do you use olive oil? My understanding is that olive oil is NOT a Chinese ingredient - it is too "strong flavored", and also has a very low "burn point". Thanks again!

    Regards, BZ.

  • @benzuckerman This is just my personal preference, I also found grape seed oil is very nice too. People usually use peanut oil or corn oil in Chinese cooking, but I really dislike them. I found peanut oil or corn oil make dishes taste too heavy and greasy. I actually feel olive oil is lighter and has a pleasant fragrance especially when fried with vegetables or used as a base for a sauce. Because olive oil burns at a lower temperature, so my house is not all smoky when I cook.

  • Please show me how to make chicken or beef or pork fried rice without soy

  • @AmberCorwin The Yeung Chow Fried Rice is made with pork and it doesn't require soy sauce. You can find this video on my channel. I also have made a few different type of fried rice and you can find the recipes on my website.
