Interview with Luc Petit ( Director and Conceptor ) and Fabrice Bollen ( Head of Show Unit Dragone Events ) about the event in Venezia.

Translation (rough)

Fabrice :

The project was the wedding of the second daughter of a business man from India.
An Indian wedding is usually three day long.
So we chose three different places:

The church of Mercy , in the centre of Venice.
The second show was held in the Arsenal , a part of the old militarized zone of Venice which is now an exhibition hall .

The third place was the island of San Clemente , a small island north Venice which has been converted into a palace. But we didn't use the facilities of the hotel. We built a huge tent outside both for the wedding and for the show.

Luc:

The first show was a big work of video projections.
There were scaffolds everywhere . So we decided to hide them with some white fabric and we decided to project some video on the white fabric. And it became a huge video screen.

The first show was really atmospheric. The show passed through the cities that the bride and groom visited before. With about 15 minutes for each city. London , Hong Kong , Vancouver, ...

It was a travel around the world ... It was pretty fun.
With dancers and a big live painting of the portrait of the couple.

The second night was more modern, even technologically speaking as the screen was a LED screen. It was another universe, more like a cabaret with some very high level acts and some dancers around them. A very dynamic and uplifting show.

The welcoming of the guest was really important too. With a huge lion head, with Trans Express and Motus Module , outside.

And then Inside , there were an ice skating rink, people on stilts, some magicians ... It was really entertaining.

On the last night, we reconstructed the Scala. But the background was a real hill. It was like an outdoor theatre.
And it was really nice to be able to use the nature and the Scala to go from one to the other. It was beautiful.

The costumes were wonderful. There were over 60 actors on the stage with old Venetian costumes. That was a really interesting image.
