We're all beginning to realise how important nutrition is. Blueberries are an excellent source of nutrients (too many to go into here) and regular consumption is thought to help prevent illness later in life.

I wrote to the company to ensure there were no preservatives etc and i got a lovely e-mail back explaining the process etc to guarantee freshness. they also said ...
"The blueberries are 100% fruit with no sugar or additives added."
The berries in this video are Creative Gourmet Fresh Frozen Blueberries and are very cheap. you'll find them in freezer section. Very tasty!!!

April 2010
Two years later i still buy the blue berries and they are still top of the list for antioxidants and healthy skin.

From Wiki:
Suggested amounts vary between 1.6 g/kg and 1.8 g/kg

They also say more if you work out and a suggested max is 2.5g/kg

My current protein shake has 34g per serv and i add flaxseed, sunflower kernels, sesame seed which is another 7g and more from the milk.

75kg would be approx 41g but you then have to factor in exercise and what energy you're burning and calories from Carbs/Protein/Fat.
Hope this helps.

Taken from one study in 2007 :
Although it is possible that the studies with blueberries and tea are isolated incidents, such a conclusion seems to go against the tenets of nature which are presented in broad statements. This suggests that a more likely conclusion would be that proteins in milk have a great affinity for many polyphenols found in both fruits and vegetables. It implies that if one chooses to eat fruits and vegetables for their health promoting benefits, no dairy product should be involved in the process until the body has had a chance to make full use of the polyphenols presented.

  • What do you think about Myofusion protein by Gasparri? I used it for a while and I lean and strong. But I was wandering about its ingredients...

  • @nomeansno70 I can only comment on protein powders I use really but what I recommend is that you look up each of the sweeteners online and make sure you know what you are consuming. Hope that helps.

  • Everybody knows now that MILK kills all the antioxidant properties of the blueberries. Use water instead or almond milk!

  • @nomeansno70 Thanks for the comments, I've added to the description some text from a 2007 study but I personally don't use GNC protein powder any more because of some of the chemicals their product contains and I dont use fresh milk either but they speak about the proteins rather than "milk". All i know is i'm fit an healthy compared with people that don't eat a healthy diet.

  • i recently bought GNC whey protein.. is this good or not?? or just im wasting money?? tnx

  • I think the protein powder is good but you have to ask is it worth the risk taking the chemical sweetener they use? For that reason and only that reason I will not use GNC branded protein powder.

Health people should know what they are eating and Google anything they don't know. Rubbish in...

If you want results you must know what you're eating.

  • Yo vinny for future reference, always research the product BEFORE you buy it. Haha.

Any GNC product should work if you use it correctly, i.e., the time you take it. If you drink the formula once a day you should notice results pretty soon. If you consume more than that you will notice even more results. Like once in the morning, and once Post-Workout.

Anyway, as far as losing speed, it won't happen as long as you keep your legs strong enough to support your new body weight. I hope I helped.

  • i continue to use a protein powder every day and my marathon running has improved together with my training so it's got to be good. If you don't see improvements in your sport you have to be doing something wrong.

  • hey man, i play football and i bought gnc's mass xxx. im 150 pounds right now. i play running back so i wanted to gain weight without losing speed. do you think i made the right choice of buying that ?

  • no it's not, that's a common sweetener used today. the sweetener is: Acesulfame_potassium and the reply excerpt:

Please accept our apologies. Unfortunately, we are unable to disclose

    information regarding our product decisions.

  • i think the sweetener ur talking about is aspartame isn't it?? i thought they (GNC brand) had also stopped using it

  • thanks
