PS How did you do the mouth? I'm finding it difficult to model the bottom jaw on some of my characters, especially ones with rather squished up faces. Do you have any tips for this?

Great video. It gives great reference of options for a quadruped character.

Heyy how did you get the mouth / cheeks to be so squashy? Was that all done through blend shaps? Great work

Hey =D awesome rig! was wondering (cos theres a bit of debate going on.) did you have the root joint at the chest or pelvis. It looks like youve got it at the pelvis? when you use the fk spine controls?? would that be right?
Have you found any possible set backs doing it that way. Im really not sure whether to go with root joint chest or pelvis!!! =s

though in this rig i have broken the chains at pelvis and neck, it rids the chain of some garvage value that i may inherit from its parent nodes.

@mafster2000
the root joint is at the pelvis but there is nothing as such a root joint in this specific rig, there is a point though that is the pivot or the cog and that pivot position is shared by 2 joints: spine base and the pelvis. i extensively use the broken chain hierarchy, the spine, the pelvis, the neck and the clavicle, these are the roots of the primary chains, the chains may further be broken down at the shoulders and the palms for further controls.
