1/3 Just to clear up some of the information regarding Disney vs. IOA/Universal and the New Fantasyland vs. H Potter Land, the majority of the area in which the expanded Fantasyland is now being developed is the former 10,000 Leagues area (closed since 94), part of ToonTown, a staging area and open space. This area has been in "imagineering" since the mid 90's with many different concepts and designs on the table over the years. To think that Disney is remodeling and expanding Fantasyland

3/3 continued- ...less expansive in concept because they don't have to. They provide the thrills that their demographic requires where Disney provides magic and enchantment. But here is annual attendance stats for Orlando parks+Bush Gardens (in millions): MK-17.1, Epcot-10.8, AK-9.8, DHS-9.7, IOA-7.7, Universal-6, SeaW-5.2 & BushG-4.3 So clearly.. the last 4 are fighting for Disney's table scraps. However, IOA/Universal will always draw the teens, young adults & people who watch Jerry Springer.

2/3 continued - ...to compete with H Potter Land is rather silly. MK and IOA don't share the same demographics. Of course all theme parks compete but these two parks are not similar at all. The new Fantasyland features 4 different movie themes where as HP has 1. Also, F Land is the most architecturally unappealing area in MK and much like Tomorrowland in the early 90's, it needed a facelift. As for H Potter Land,... great, new innovative ride and a repainted roller coaster. IOA/Universal is far
